• Howard & Jones Sybil Bryant HarrisJesup—Sybil Bryant Harris, 67, died peacefully on April 19, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.A lifelong resident of Wayne County, she was born on May 11, 1958, in Baxley to the late, Marcus Bryant and Mary Lou Ellis Bryant.

• Rinehart & Sons   William Calvin Hayes Jesup—William Calvin Hayes, 96, of Jesup died April 14, 2026. The Wayne County native was a faithful member of Jesup First United Methodist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class and a U.S.

• Rinehart & Sons   Mary Nell Morris Jesup—Mary Nell Morris Horton, 88, of Jesup died on April 2, 2026. The Alabama native had lived most of her adult life in Wayne County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

• Howard Danette Mallard Odum—Danette Mallard, 65, died on March 26, 2026, at her home under the care of her family and Georgia Hospice Care.  Born in Jesup, she lived in Odum all of her life. She drove a school bus for several years in Wayne County and was a homemaker.

• Rinehart & Sons   Scott White Jesup—Scott White, 68, of Jesup died March 5, 2026. The former Iowa resident had lived in Wayne County the past several years and was recently retired from the Wayne County school system as the athletic trainer.

• Rinehart & Sons   Samuel Jorgensen Sr. Jesup—Samuel Jorgensen Sr., 78, of Jesup died on Feb. 16, 2026. The Alma native lived in Wayne County most of his adult life, was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was retired from Rogers Body Shop after 30 years.

• Rinehart & Sons   Jefferson Wylly Davis Sr. Jesup—Jefferson Wylly “Jay” Davis Sr., 84, of Jesup died on Feb. 10, 2026, in the Hospice of South Georgia Inpatient Unit. The Pierce County native had lived most of his adult life in Wayne County and was a member of Flint Branch Baptist Church.
