Patricia Ann Hendricks

Hinesville—Patricia Ann Hendricks, 49, of Hinesville died unexpectedly following a brief illness on July 13, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1977, to Mary Ellen Hendrix and Patrick Spellman in Hinesville. She received her high school diploma from Bradwell Institute in Hinesville and graduated in the class of 1995. She was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Jesup. She had been employed as a certified nursing assistant for the past 29  years and most recently with St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital.

She enjoyed baking, gardening and music, and she loved her grandchildren. She had a passion for her job as a caretaker. She gave it her best efforts in performing her duties and did it with a smile. “Noni,” as she was affectionately referred to by her grandchildren, will be missed dearly, her family said. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Johnnie Mae Reddish, and her paternal grandfather, Willie Spellman Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Ellen Hendrix of Newport News, Virginia; her father, Patrick Spellman Sr. of Jesup; her grandmother, Lillie Bell Spellman of Jesup; her loving children, Imari Hendricks, Patrick Stewart, Glennie Hendricks and Gracie Hendricks, all of Hinesville; a bonus daughter, Timia Fussell, Jesup; her grandchildren, Myla, Calan, Cimani and Da’mina; her sisters, Sheilah Amos of Newport News, Crystal Hendrix of Vidalia and Nicholette Norwood of Brunswick; her brother, Patrick (Lisa) Spellman Jr. of Jesup; her companion of 25 years, Jerry Rogers of Hinesville; a close friend, Costa Miller of Flemming; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as other sorrowing family members and friends.

Services were held July 17 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel in Jesup.
