• Rinehart & Sons    Ira “Kent” Townsend Jesup—Ira “Kent” Townsend, 76, of Jesup died Sept. 22, 2024, under the care of Cotton Grove Estates and GHC Hospice. The Florida native had lived in Jesup since 1993 and was a member of the Church of Christ, where he served as an elder.

q Rinehart & Sons Aletha Purcell Jesup—Aletha Purcell, 100, died May 31, 2024. She was the eldest member of Altamaha Baptist Church and worked for the Wayne County school system for more than 20 years. She was happiest when she was at home with her family and supporting all of their activities.
