Hoyle killed in bicycle collision with vehicle on Holmesville Road

Kevin Earl Hoyle, 52, of Jesup was killed when his bicycle was struck by a vehicle on the shoulder of Holmesville Road last week. A preliminary report from the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said that the incident is being investigated by the Troop I SCRT (Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team).

‘Shots fired’ incident brings tighter security to Fall Fair

A report of shots fired near the entrance to the Jaycee Fairgrounds Saturday night drew a prompt response from law enforcement, as well as a beefed-up security presence at the fairgrounds for this week. The Wayne County Fall Fair began last week and is slated to continue through this Saturday.

Former Jesup High School football standout Marcus Waters died Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Macon after suffering a fall at his home in Warner Robins. Funeral arrangements were not available at press time.
