Lady Jacket volleyball team advances to Sweet 16

For the first time in school history, the Lady Jacket volleyball team won its first round of state play and has advanced to Sweet 16 action. The Lady Jackets bested Griffin High 3-2, and will next take on Shaw High on Saturday.

After besting Troup County High 6-3 and Perry High 9-5 in the first two rounds of the GHSA softball Wayne County Super Regional on Tuesday, the Lady Jackets advanced to the championship game on Wednesday at Barbara Struckhoff Field.
