Vada Anderson Madray Jesup—Vada Anderson Madray, 97, of Jesup died April 7, 2021.  The Wayne County native was a charter member of First Freewill Baptist Church, a homemaker and an employee with the Wayne County Board of Education. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard H.

  Charles William Ambrose Sr. Jesup—Charles William Ambrose Sr., 74, affectionately known by many as “Charlie“ died March 29, 2021, at Liberty Regional Medical Center. A resident of Southeast Georgia for more than 18 years, he was born on Dec. 13, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland.

  Brant Mathis Anderson Jesup—Brant Mathis Anderson, 28, died unexpectedly on March 18, 2021. A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, he was born on Jan. 27, 1993.  He was a member of the Wayne County High School class of 2011 and was a welder and boilermaker by trade.

  Donny Turner Jesup—Donny Turner, 70, known by many as the “Georgia Boy” on the CB radio, died March 14, 2021, at home under the care of Your Family Hospice. He was born on March 5, 1951, in Appling County to the late Woodrow Wilson Turner and Edith Dubberly Turner.

 Elizabeth Murray Jesup—Elizabeth Murray, 75, of Jesup died March 1, 2021. She was born at the end of World War II and was a child of the 1950s and 1960s. She spent most of her professional career in insurance sales and brokerage services.

  Terry “David” Blackmon Odum—Terry “David” Blackmon, 46 of Odum died Feb. 25, 2021. The Wayne County native was a member of Piney Grove Church of God and was a sergeant with the Wayne County Detention Center. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, all sports and spending time with his family.

  James Timmons Cockfield Jesup—James Timmons Cockfield, 93, died Feb. 18, 2021, at Harborview Jesup under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was a native of Emanuel County, living in Jesup since 1951. He was the retired owner/operator of the Jesup Drive-in Theater and Cockfield Studio.
