Albert Fleming Howard Jesup—Albert Fleming Howard, 81, of Jesup died March 27, 2020, in St. Joseph’s Hospital of a heart attack. The Wayne County native was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church.

Weldon “Wink” Arden Thalacker St. Simons Island—Weldon “Wink” Arden Thalacker, 86, died March 17, 2020, after a two-and-a-half- year illness of Parkinsonism. He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Gladys; his first wife of 42 years, Mary Marguerite “Marti”; and an older brother, Robert.

Joseph L. Dart Jesup--Joseph L. “Joe” Dart, 83, died March 10, 2020, at University of Florida Health Jacksonville. A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, he was born on June 29, 1936, to the late William Robert Dart Sr. and Annie Laurie Strickland Dart.

Johnny  Lenard Price Sr. Jesup--Johnny Lenard Price Sr. of Jesup died March 7, 2020. He was born in Stigler, Oklahoma, on April 4, 1950, to Millard Marvin Price and Mary Ann Price. He was of the Christian faith and graduated from Genoa Central High School.

Greg Boyette Screven--Greg Boyette, 58, of Screven died March 2, 2020. The Jacksonville, Florida, native had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was a member of Screven First Baptist Church. He was a former welder who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mother Vera Dell Smith Jesup--Mother Vera Dell Smith, 88, of Jesup died Feb. 25, 2020, in her home as a result of a house fire. She was born on April 25, 1931, to the late Johnny and Annie Mae Hendrix in Bulloch County. She was educated in the Manasseh (Tattnall County) school system.
