Mark Anthony Arrington
Jesup—Mark Anthony Arrington, 37, of Jesup died March 21, 2020, at his residence.
Known as “M.A. No. 1,” he was born on July 6, 1982, to Glendra Allen-Arrington and Larry Arrington in Wayne County. He was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and was well- known and loved among his family and friends. He was known for his ability and his love of beating the drums in the churches in the community. He accepted God as his personal savior early on in life and enjoyed fishing in his free time.
His employment included his most recent job at Americold, Wayfair, Carolina Cartridge, YellaWood and Absorption Corp.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary Claretha and Elbert Arrington.
Survivors include his parents, Larry Arrington and Glendra Allen-Arrington of Jesup; two children, Kei’ajah and Tana’jah Arrington of Jesup; his siblings, Michael and Melanie Arrington, both of Brunswick, and Myron and Marisa Arrington, both of Jesup; his maternal grandparents, Bessie Allen of Jesup and Freddie Allen of Savannah; his aunts, Alma Louise Jenkins of Mississippi, Mae Dessa Arrington of Jesup, Louise Alma Arrington of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Angela Allen of Jesup, Vanessa (Aaron) Jordan of Jesup, Octavia Allen of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kimberly and Gene’tria Allen of Savannah; his uncles, Henry Arrington of Jesup, Frederick Allen of Raleigh, North Carolina and JaQuan Allen of Fort Hood, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will NOT be a wake/visitation or a repast owing to the COVID-19 virus concerns.
A graveside service will be held on March 27 at 11 a.m. at Odum City Cemetery.
