Juanita Kirby Ryan

Jesup—Juanita Kirby Ryan, 79, of Jesup died April 1, 2020, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

The Tampa, Florida, native had lived in Wayne County the past 23 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lakeland. She was a homemaker who loved to paint, garden and sew.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Kenneth Ryan; a son, Justin Lance Paone; two sisters, Mary Frances Woempner and Mattie Lee Tucker; and a nephew, James Oris Davis.

Survivors include a sister, Lillie Davis of Jesup; three nephews, Earl Wayne (Connie) Davis of Jesup, Tommy Doyle of Canyon, Texas, and Bobby (Lajette) Davis of Amarillo, Texas; and several other extended family members.

Private graveside funeral services were held in the George Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Todd officiating.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Taylor Smith Collins

Jesup—Taylor Smith Collins, 25, of Jesup died April 2, 2020.

She was a member of Crossroads Church of God and a loving mother who loved all kinds of music. 

Survivors include her son, Zander Lee Smith-Williams of Jesup; her mother, Angie Landon Smith of Jesup, and fiancé  Jimmy Teston; her father, Shelton Smith of Jesup, and fiancée Kathy Jones; a sister, Allison (Brandon) Counts of Jesup; maternal grandparents, John and Nellie Williams of Dalton; paternal grandparents, Bill “Cookie” and Imogene Smith of Jesup; and a host of other relatives and friends.

With respect to the current situation with COVID 19, the family covets your love and support and asks that friends and family obey the medical mandates.  “We feel your presence!” the family said.
