Why did Auschwitz happen?


The terror at Auschwitz was both systematic and indiscriminate. The Germans murdered 1.1 million people at the extermination camp in Nazi-occupied Poland. Most of the victims were Jewish.

Banning gag clause has left lasting impact


Speaking to the Jesup Rotary Club Thursday, U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter said that, in regard to approved legislation that he wrote, he is most proud of banning the “gag clause.”
