James L. “Buddy” Hall Jr.
Jesup—James L. “Buddy” Hall Jr., 56, died Sept. 13, 2018, at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and surrounded by his family.
A resident of Jesup for the past 20 years and former 20-year resident of Las Vegas, he was born on Sept. 5, 1962, in Jesup. He was a painter by trade who owned his own business for many years. In his younger years, he enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, including fishing, boating and camping.
He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Hall Sr.; two brothers, Robert and Allen Hall; and a sister, Jamie Hall.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Hall of Jesup; children and their spouses, Jennifer and John Gray, James L. Hall III, Shelsea and Glenn Pond, and Gregory and Alishia Poole, all of Jesup; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Myrtice Hall and Sherry Kicklighter, both of Jesup and Melinda and Tony Hall of Brunswick; the former wife and mother of his children, Debby Hall of Jesup; his companion of six years, Michelle Bargeron of Jesup; a host of grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended- family members.
Memorial services were held Sept. 18 at Jesup Church of God with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating.
