Marianne H. Beaver
Jesup—Marianne H. Beaver, 59, of Jesup died July 31, 2017, at her residence after a short illness.
The Wipseld, Germany, native had lived in Wayne County the past eight years. She was a member the Everett City Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed church, reading, fishing and motorcycle riding.
Survivors include her husband of eight years, Warren Beaver of Jesup; a son, Jackie Lamb of Eulonia; her mother, Emmi, of Hamburg, Germany; and two grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Aug. 1 at Red Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Manning officiating.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
 
Mary Lois Jones Walker
Jesup—Mary Lois Jones Walker, 90, of Jesup died July 29, 2017, after an extended illness.
The Waverly native and longtime resident of Jesup was a member of First Methodist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.
She was a retired public school teacher, having taught math and science in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
As an accomplished pianist, she accompanied her college chorus and often played for church and Sunday school. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, needle crafts, painting, golf and bridge.
She and her husband lived in Holland for three years and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. While there, they developed a love for bicycling. They enjoyed many trips riding through the countryside with their friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Walker; and a daughter, Lois Zeman.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elaine and Charles Crews of Houston, Texas, Judy and Tom Worley of Dover Delaware, Cindy Bohnenkamp of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Linda Johnson of San Diego, California; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Jesup City Cemetery with the Rev. Tucker Lewis officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 205 E. Cherry Street, Jesup, GA 31546.
