Mary Mosley Walker
Jesup—Mary Mosley Walker, 73, of Jesup died June 30, 2017, at her home under the care of Heartland Hospice.
The Wayne County native was a retired office assistant with the Food Lion grocery store. She enjoyed offshore fishing, flower gardening, sewing, painting, writing poetry and songs.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Ethel Mosley; four brothers, Samuel, J.M., Lavelle and I.L. Mosley; and three nephews, Jimmy and Phillip Mosley and Jerrod Tyre.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton Walker of Jesup; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jamie and Vernon Bishop of North Carolina, Stacey Benfield of Brunswick and Heather and Oz Bottorff of Brunswick; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg and Kay Odum of Jesup and Bengie Odum of Jesup; two stepsons and their wives, Danny and Gina Walker of Jesup and Joey and Diane Walker of Nahunta; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruby Daniels of Jesup, Carolyn M. Williams of Maine, and Patsy and Art Noland of Jesup; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services were held July 3 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Worley and Will Jones officiating. Interment was in Screven City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 161 N. Macon St., Jesup, GA 31545.

Charlie T. Hillmon
Screven—Charlie T. Hillmon, 86, of Screven died June 28, 2017, at St. Joseph/ Candler Hospital in Savannah.
He was born in Ellaville June 21, 1931, to the late Rose Lee Nolton and Parrish Hillmon, the second oldest of three children. He received his education in the Wayne County school system. He served two years in the U.S. Army, and he was a construction worker and an insurance agent until his retirement.
He was a member of Mose Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where he served on the usher board and was also ordained as a deacon in 2008. He was a member of Willie F. Marshall Post 529 of the American Legion. He was an active member of the NAACP and served on the trustee board of Sun Trust Bank.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Rosa Lee Nolton and Parrish Hillmon; his wife, Jeanette Hillmon; his daughter, Quinette Hillmon; his brother, Freddie Lee Hillmon Sr.; his sister, Josie Smith; and a niece, Erica Latson-Gardener.
He is survived by his children, Yvonne McGill, Isaac Baggs, Ronda and Larry Matlock, Pernell Ports, Michael and Brittany Hillmon and Howard and Charlotte Tomlin; a niece, Fredlyn Maeweather; nephews, Freddie Hillmon Jr. and Ricky and Genieve Hillmon; brothers-in-law and spouses, Willie and Gladys Thomas and Jimmy and Corrine Ports; special friends, Cleveland Rawls, Eddie Pittman, Bennie Mae Brock, Rose Roberts, Daisy Hendrix, Patsy A. Dixon, Arthur M. Boston, Willie Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his church family.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Mose Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Screven. No wake/visitation will be held, but the body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Screven Cemetery.

Mary Ester Holmes
Jesup—Mary Ester Holmes, 69, of Jesup died June 24, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 7, 1948, in Quitman to the late Otis Stevens and Corine Davis. She was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and was a member of Mt. Mariah AME Church, where she sang in the choir. She worked in housekeeping at several motels in surrounding counties and enjoyed fishing and crabbbing in her free time.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Otis and Corine Stevens, and siblings Martha L. Randolph, Cora L. Robinson, Leroy Daniels, Otis Stevens and Willie Gibson.
She is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Willie “Ricky” Lee Holmes of Jesup; her children, Johnnie and Tracy Holmes, Ronnie Holmes and Eddie C. Holmes Jr., all of Pembroke, Terry Holmes of Orlando, Florida, and Angela Howard of Crescent; a sister, Christine Steven of Valdosta; a brother, Willie L. Phillips of Hazlehurst; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Jonathan W. Gravley
Odum—Jonathan W. Gravley, 46, of Odum died June 20, 2017, in Port O’Conner, Texas.
He is survived by a daughter, Erica Shae Mullins; a great-granddaughter, Teagan Elise Mullins; his mother, Brenda Gravley Lanza; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on July 9 at Piney Grove Church of God.
