Sadie Patricia Hare Vaughan

Jesup—Sadie Patricia Hare Vaughan, 104, died June 28, 2018, in Harborview Nursing Home.

She enjoyed having good health and a sharp mind and maintained her trust and confidence in Jesus Christ, which gave her peace and a loving spirit for everyone she met.

The Wayne County native and longtime resident of Miami, Florida, was known for her gifts as a wife, mother and grandmother to her family.  As a well-read biblical scholar, she enjoyed sharing her godly travels and triumphs with all who coveted “His word.”

She was predeceased by her spouse, James Oscar Vaughan.

Survivors are her “pride and joy” son and daughter-in-law, James Richard and Gisela Vaughan of Sarasota, Florida; “remarkable” grandchildren, Veronica Patrice and Stephen Cunha of Ambler, Pennsylvania and Peter Howard and Arnila Vaughan of Falls Church, Virginia; and “blessed” great-granddaughter, Caroline Cunha. She will be remembered by many extended friends and family who will cherish her memory.

Celebration-of-life services will be held at 11 a.m. July 7 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with family speaking. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


James Howard Westberry

Jesup—James Howard Westberry, 86, of Columbus, Mississippi, formerly of Jesup, died June 26, 2018, at his residence.

Graveside funeral services were held July 1 at Jesup City Cemetery.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Cecil Thomas Holland

Jesup—Cecil Thomas Holland, 82, of Jesup died June 29, 2018, after an extended illness.

Funeral services were held July 3 with Pastor Randy Pruitt officiating.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.




Thermon Sharpe

Jesup—Thermon Sharpe, 85, of Jesup died June 27, 2018, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services were held June 30.

Royal Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
