Rheba Walker Wasdin
Jesup—Rheba Walker Wasdin, 90, of Jesup died July 14, 2017, in the Harborview Nursing Home in Blackshear.
The Pierce County native was a member of Ritch Baptist Church and was an active member of Ben Gibbs Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired cashier with Kroger Grocery a former factory worker, and she cared for others as a certified nursing assistant.
Her favorite pastimes were visiting with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Colon James Wasdin, and a grandson, Jeffrey Allen Wilson.
Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Saundra Miller of Fleming Island, Florida, Nancy Wilson of Patterson, and Cynthia and Jimmy Thornton of Patterson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Sherry Wasdin of Patterson and Thomas S. Wasdin of Patterson; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, including a special niece, Angel McQuaig; several nephews and cousins; and special friends, Jennifer, Allie and Andrew Fledderman.
Funeral services were held July 17 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Private interment followed in Lake Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Drew Thornton, Steve Wasdin, Ray Keller, Andy Walker, Michael Walker and Terry Herrin.
Honorary pallbearers were the staffs of Harborview Nursing Homes in Blackshear and Jesup and the members of Ben Gibbs Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Willene Eason Rozier
Ludowici—Willene Eason Rozier, 85, of Ludowici died July 16, 2017, at her home after an extended illness.
The Long County native was a member of Compass Worship Center Church of God, a homemaker and beloved mother. She enjoyed fishing, watching hummingbirds and spending quality time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Rozier, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Chase.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Chase of Marietta; two sons, Dale Rozier of Ludowici and Carl Rozier of Jesup; four grandchildren, Tracey Sawyer, Rebecca Watson, Carla Rozier and Ashley Rozier; and 10 great-grandchildren, Chase, Erin, Megan, Tanner, Aubrey, Noah, Oakley, Olivia, Kane, Lelia and Jack.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Compass Worship Center Church of God in Ludowici with the Rev. Jeptha Newberry, the Rev. Tom Gardner and the Rev. Byron Powers officiating.
Interment will be in Middleton Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ashley Rozier, Chase Sawyer, Wilford Rozier, Darwin “Possum” Kelly, Sam Miness and Buddy Carter.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to services at the church.

Edgar Dave “Butch” Corbin
Jesup—Edgar Dave “Butch” Corbin, 60, of Jesup died July 16, 2017.
The Cumberland, Maryland, native had lived in Wayne County the past 16 years and was of Pentecostal faith. He was a retired asphalt paver, enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoor activities.
He was predeceased by a sister, Cindy Baker.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Margie Crews Corbin of Jesup; five stepdaughters, Dawn Winn of Nahunta, Shirley Carter of Hortense, Terri Carter of Brunswick, Evelyn Wood of Jesup and Carmen Marble of Tigard, Oregon; a stepson, Jamie Carter of Nahunta; a sister, Susan Osterhoudt of Jesup; two brothers, David Corbin Jr. of Jesup and Herman Corbin of Ludowici; 11 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Flowers officiating.
Private interment services will follow. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
