Darrel Lee Rickenbaugh
Jesup—Darrel Lee Rickenbaugh, 80, of Jesup died May 8, 2018, at his residence after an extended illness.
The Indiana native lived most of his adult life in Wayne County. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea and a retired employee of Rayonier. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and being with his family.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Eula Williams Rickenbaugh of Jesup; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Will Murphy of Jesup; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Pam Rickenbaugh of Jesup; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Crystal, Ashley, Madison, Austin and Audrey; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held May 10 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Fred Holland officiating.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ouida Mae Dent
Odum—Ouida Mae Dent, 95, of Odum died May 9, 2018, in Harborview Nursing Home and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
The Odum native was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church and a former church secretary. She was a seamstress working for several factories and enjoyed shopping and reading. She was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Eula Durden Dent.
Survivors include a son, Charles Dent of Odum; a grandson, Charles “Chad” (Bree) Dent of Odum; and additional family.
Funeral services were held May 11 at Altamaha Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee and the Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Interment was in Altamaha Cemetery.
