Rinehart & Sons
Linda Gail McLendon
Jesup—Linda Gail McLendon, 64, of Jesup died March 2, 2018, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness.
The South Carolina native had lived in Wayne County most of her life and was a member of the Anderson Drive Baptist Church. She was a cashier and caregiver for many years and enjoyed being with her family.
She loved Western movies and word searches.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wilbert Lewis and Doris Hughes McLendon; a sister, Shirley Storm; and two brothers, Wayne and Joseph McLendon.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Kathy and Jerry Rogers of Hazlehurst, and Phyllis Brantley of Jesup; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Melba McLendon of Jesup; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside funeral services were held March 4 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
 
Robert David Hodge
Jesup—Robert David Hodge, 72, of Jesup and Jacksonville, Florida, died March 3, 2018, in St. Vincent’s Hospital after an extended illness.
The Wayne County native was a retired industrial millwright and a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hot- rod cars, the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Lloyd and Purney Stephens Hodge, and a son, David Lloyd Hodge.
Survivors include his companion of many years, Elaine Dias of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Dan Wendorff of Orange Park, Florida; a son, Robby Cornett of Orange Park, Florida; two sisters, Catherine Metts of Callahan, Florida, and Thelma Sarver of Brunswick; seven grandchildren, David Hodge, Dalton Hodge, Aaron Tapley, Skyler Wendorff, Brayden Wendorff, Zachary Wendorff and Kami Wendorff; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with David Simmons and the Rev. Dickie Waters officiating along with presentation of the United States flag by The American Legion Post No. 311.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to services.

Jesup—Frances Tillman Kay, 75, of Jesup and Waycross died March 4, 2018, in the Jesup Healthcare Center after an extended illness.
Private services are being held by the family.

Jesup--Richard Copeland Jr., 80, of Jesup, died March 1, 2018.
There will be no wake/visitation. Funeral services will be March 10 at 11 a.m. at Unity Church of God. Interment will follow in Jesup City Cemetery.

Carrie Mae Johnson-Lett
Jesup--Carrie Mae Johnson-Lett “Ella Mae”, 76 of Jesup, died March 4, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.
A viewing will be held March 9 at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be March 10 at 3 p.m. at Morning Glory Baptist Church, Jesup. Interment will be in Sunset Oaks Cemetery.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
Gwendolyn J. Kimbrough
Jesup—Gwendolyn J. Kimbrough, 64, of Jesup died March 4, 2018, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held March 11 at 3 p.m. at St. John First Born Holiness Church.
