Joshua Michael Coran
Jesup—Joshua Michael Coran Jr., 14, of Wayne County died unexpectedly on Feb. 19, 2019.
He was born on July 6, 2004, to Joshua M. Coran Sr. and LaShonda Vallion-Coran in Brunswick. He was a ninth grader at Wayne County High School, where he participated in the track and football programs. “He was a good kid that was kind-spirited and put everything he had into whatever he was a part of,” his family said. His hobbies included reading and drawing.
He will be sorely missed by his family and all who had the opportunity and privilege of knowing him, his family said.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tina Branch, James Alston and Claude Toler.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving parents, LaShonda and Joshua M. Coran Sr. of Odum; a sister, Ahkeymah Vallion-Smith (Christopher) of Brunswick; two brothers, Jaishon Coran of Odum and Neromi Epps of Brunswick; a paternal grandparent, Alan Coran; maternal grandparents, Sylvia Alston and Earl Vallion Jr. of Brunswick; great-grandmother, Hattie Toler of Brunswick; his aunts, Vanessa C. Sanders (Johnathan) of Bedford, Texas, Chantel Alston of Brunswick, Shenina Johnson of Milledgeville, and Denise Vallion and Alizabeth Harvey, both of Brunswick; his uncles, Carlos Delagarza (Samantha), Nappanee of Indiana, Chadreius Harvey of Jesup and George Harvey Jr. of Brunswick; a nephew, Garyon Epps of Brunswick; a niece, Aubrey Epps of Brunswick; his close friends that were like brothers, Joshua Shuman, Trevin Wallace, Michael Booker and Landon Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held today (Saturday) at 3 p.m. at Unity Church of God.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Savannah--David Rosenberg, 45, died Feb. 14, 2019 in Sevierville, Tennessee, while visiting friends.
He was born Sept. 5, 1973, in Savannah.
Survivors include his wife, six children (three daughters, three sons) of ages 28, 26, 26, 24, 11, and 9; a mother; four sisters; and one brother.
He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed, his family said.
A memorial service will be held at a later time and announced then. The family asks for respect and patience with the planning.
Surrency—Vernon Arnold, 59, of Surrency died Feb. 18, 2019, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 2, 1959, in Jesup. He was a member of Zion Church of God and retired from ITT Rayonier. He was preceded in death by his father, Miriam Leon Arnold.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Ann Smith Arnold of Goose Creek, South Carolina; a sister, Gwen Starrick of Goose Creek; a brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Melissa Arnold of Surrency; nieces and nephews, Matthew Starrick of Surrency, Megan (Shawn) Dowers of Summerville, South Carolina, Lyndsey (Weston) Skinner of Surrency and Jody (Haley) Arnold of Surrency; and five great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at Zion Church of God with the Rev. Danny Horne and Gwen Starrick officiating.
Interment was in the Zion Church of God Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Matthew Starrick, Jody Arnold, Jason Rainwater, Randy Crawford, Timmy Rainwater, Caleb Fowler, Ryan Perry, Bryan Perry, C.J. Arnold, Donnie Hardee, Lee Fowler and Tripp Pearce.
