Guerry Sanders III
Brunswick—Guerry Sanders III, 52, of Jesup died peacefully at the Hospice of the Golden Isles on Nov. 11, 2016.
He was born Aug. 20, 1964, in Jesup and was a longtime resident at East Regional Hospital-Gracewood Campus in Gracewood. 
Survivors include his mother and her husband, Lois and Lanny Boutaugh-Moseley; maternal aunts, Phyllis Aldridge and Shelia Hodges of Jesup; and several cousins. 
Private memorial services were held Nov. 13.

James Osgood Spell
Jesup—James Osgood Spell, 75, of Jesup died Nov. 14, 2016, at his residence.
The Wayne County native was known as  “Weather Boy.” He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with his Huddle House friends and riding around Jesup.
He never met a stranger and would help with any situation and “all who knew him loved him.”
He was predeceased by his father, Osgood James “OJ” Spell.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Byrd Spell of Jesup; a sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Pete O’Quinn of Jesup; a niece, Angie O’Quinn of Jesup; and several cousins.
Graveside services were held Nov. 16 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Vann Dempsey officiating.

Wes B. Bennett Jr.
Screven—Wes B. Bennett Jr., 95, of Screven died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016. The Wayne County native was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer. He enjoyed all phases of farming, visiting with his many friends and participating in community activities.
He was predeceased by his former wife and the mother of his children, Agatha Nettles Bennett; twin children, Donna Bennett Chadwick Wright and Ronnie Olan Bennett; a son-in-law, John David Jones; a granddaughter, Jona Jones McFarland; and several siblings.
Survivors are his wife of 10 years, Melba McGraw Bennett of Screven; daughter, Annette B. Jones of Screven; sons and daughters-in-law, Wes B. and Genie Bennett of Blackshear and Joey and Darlene Bennett of Adel; grandchildren and their spouses, Lesia Jones, Diane and Rocky Fennell, Ginger Collins, Charles Eugene “CEB” Bennett, Wes Berry “Ben” Bennett IV, Chad and Stephanie Chadwick, Melissa and Ken Perkins, and Matt and Deena Bennett; several great- and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and stepchildren and their spouses, Gail and Ben Mauney, Steven Tyre, Carolyn and Roy Staszak, and Cheryl and Joe Agricola.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Tommy Waters and Brother Brad Ellington officiating. American Legion Post 311 will present the American flag. Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be he deceased’s grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.

Brad Cornelius Bryant
Jesup—Brad Cornelius Bryant, 40, died Nov. 7, 2016, in Jesup.
He was born July 4, 1976, to Ronald and Carolyn Moore Bryant of Bristol. He was educated in the Appling County school system.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert J. and Trudie Mae Simpson and Benjamin and Ethel Moore; three uncles, J.L. Bryant, Gene Bryant and Benjamin Moore Jr.; and three aunts, Ella Mae Bryant, Rachel Moore and Vivian Stafford.
Survivors include his parents; four children, Bazja C. McGauley of Jacksonville, Florida, Israel Horne of Blackshear, and Laiveigh Herrera and Brad C. Bryant, both of Jesup; one brother and one sister-in-law, Ronald Jr. and April Bryant; one sister, Sharon Bryant of Bristol; nieces and nephews, Sylvia and Isaac Bryant, Za’riah and Ezra Bryant and Zoey Williams; 14 aunts and their spouses, Argie Mae Moore of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Bertha and Richard Jackson, Shirley and Johnny Gibbs of Mershon, Helen Davis of Waycross, Patricia and Albert Moore of Douglas, Donna and Tommie Boggs, Teresa Brakes of Waycross, Debbie Surrency of McClenney, Fla., Diane and David Parker, Debra and Patrick Combs, Shemeka and Sidney Douglas, Latonya Dennis of Waycross, Glenda Bryant of Appling County and Evelyn Bryant of Jesup; 12 uncles and their spouses, James Moore of Bridgeport, Larry and Barbara Lively, Timothy and Dinah Moore of Waycross, David and Danny Moore of Bristol, Kenny White of Vero Beach, Florida, James Bryant of Screven, Hezekiah Bryant of Odum, Jerry and Alberta Bryant of Jesup, Herbert Bryant, Albert Jr, and Barbara Bryant, Donald and Helen Bryant of Baxley and Carter Lee and Rose Bryant of Bristol; the Moore-Johnson family of Huger, South Carolina; and several cousins and friends.
Funeral services took place Nov. 12 at New Bethel Life Changing Ministries Church in Screven.
Interment followed at Screven Cemetery.
