Eugene Little
Ludowici—Eugene Little, 63, of Ludowici died on Nov. 7, 2017, at his home following a brief illness.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1953, in Reidsville (Tattnall County) to the late Bluford Little Sr. and Mary Calhoun Little.
“Gene,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Long County school system. He was married to Gloria A. Little on May 2, 1980, and the couple had two children.
He worked in the construction industry and enjoyed recreational sports, fishing and reaching out to those in need within the community. He was a member of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in several capacities and enjoyed singing in the choir.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria A. Little of Ludowici; his children and their spouses, Anthony and Tyra Little, Miranda and Romal Bostic and Christina Little, all of Jesup; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Matthew Williams of Durham, North Carolina; one brother, Aimnell Little of Augusta; two aunts and an uncle, Nora and Clifton Walker of Ludowici and Rufus Davis of Clinton, North Carolina; one uncle, Warren Calhoun; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
Funeral services will be held today (Saturday) at 3 p.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Lincoln Street, Ludowici.
Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ludowici.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Iletha Edenfield Brooks
Jesup—Iletha Edenfield Brooks, 78, of Jesup died Nov. 8, 2017, after an extended illness.
The Wayne County native was a Baptist and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her son, John Coley Chancey; parents, John Reedie and Thelma Stanfield Edenfield; and longtime companion, Harry Rodgers.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger McMahon of Baxley and Debbie Ghavamian of Woodstock; a sister, Irene Riendeau of Screven; a brother, Ernest Edenfield of Screven; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor Tim Horne officiating.
Family will receive friends at the cemetery.
