Bradley K. Arvie

Jesup—Bradley K. Arvie, 37, of Jesup died Sept. 26, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Healthcare System in Bruns-wick.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1981, to Brenda Ann Sharpe and Cleveland Wright in Jesup. He was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and attended Grace and Mercy Holiness Church during his early childhood.

He enjoyed football, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Betty Way Paige.

He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter that he loved dearly, Lailanie Green of Savannah; his loving and devoted mother, Brenda Ann Sharpe of Jesup; his father, Cleveland Wright of Atlanta; his stepfather, Dexter (Margaret) Kendrick of Atlanta; two sisters, Alicia Kendrick and Tanisha Jones both of Jesup; five brothers, Tony Cunningham of Jesup, Cleveland (Candice) Wright of Oklahoma City, Reginald (Anna) Sharpe of Jesup, Derrick Cunningham of Jesup, and Damien Wright of Hinesville; two uncles, John (Onzell) Way of Jesup and Ruffin (Tessie) Way of Los Angeles, California; one aunt, Pastor Mary Ellis of Jesup; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A wake will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at St. John First Born Holiness Church, 368 W. Poplar Street, Jesup. Interment will be in Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.

Rosa L. Hardy-Kegler

Jesup—Minister Rosa L. Hardy-Kegler, 68, of Jesup died Sept. 27, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1950, to the late, Cora Lee James and Grady Hardy in Odum.

She was affectionately known by close family and friends as “Cheetah.” She was educated at Northside High School and was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Wayne Home Health Care.

She was a faithful member of St. John First Born Holiness Church for many years and served as a minister there. She found great joy in praising God; watching track and field on television, especially the Olympics; watching Westerns; but most of all spending time with her family and church family.

She was was preceded in death by both parents, Cora Lee and Grady Hardy; her brothers, McArthur Hardy, Joel Hardy and Willie Hardy; her sister, Mary Hardy-Stanley; her mother and father-in-law, Hubert and Mammie Kegler; and an adopted daughter, Sonja Stovall.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Lonnie Carlton Kegler of Jesup; three sons, Remond (Carolyn) Hardy of Jesup, Corey (Jonnet) Hardy of Atlanta and Avery (LaShana) Hardy of

Hinesville; a daughter, Essence (Anthony) Love of Jacksonville, Florida; a stepdaughter, Misty Bush (Dale Hill) of Jesup; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dora (Morris) Jones of Ludowici, Dorothy Hardy of Kaleen, Texas and Bertha Smith of Jesup; a brother, Bobby Hardy of Jesup; two sisters-in-law, Ira Dean Bradley and Elizabeth Kegler, both of Bakerton; three brothers-in-law, Clyde (Vanessa) Kegler of Bakerton, Fred (Cherron) Kegler of Maryland and Jason Kegler of Albany; an aunt, Lucille Coleman of Surrency; her special friends, Marva Wilson, Freida Heights, Anna Roberts, Gladys Young, Marilyn Ricks and Jacqueline Swint; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.

A wake will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct.5, at 1 p.m. at St. John First Born Holiness Church, 386 W. Poplar St., Jesup, GA 31545  Interment is in Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.

Jesse Harold Brantley

Jesup—Jesse Harold Brantley, 73, died Sept. 23, 2018.

Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at Spring Grove Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Cowart officiating. Burial followed in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Howard Funeral Home of Ludowici was in charge of  arrangements.

 

Coralie Bishop Durden

Jesup—Coralie Bishop Durden of Jesup and Oaxaca, Mexico, died Sept. 27, 2018, in Mexico.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at Altamaha Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Lee officiating.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
