A wake is set for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at Greater Saint James Temple, 535 White Star Road, Screven.
Funeral services are planned for Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church, 644 N. Main St., Baxley.

Lavada Robertson Manning
Brunswick—Lavada Robertson Manning, 77, of Bruns-wick died Oct. 28, 2019, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia in the Altamaha Nursing Home.
The Wayne County native had lived in Glynn County for the past 53 years and was a homemaker. She loved to crochet and was very talented in her blankets, including the Lord’s Supper Quilt.
Her husband, William Carlton Manning, preceded her in death along with a brother, Thomas Gordon Robertson, and a nephew, Henry Ring.
Survivors include two sons, W.G. “Russ” (Leasia) Manning of Sylvania and W. Randall Manning of Brunswick; two granddaughters, Sarah Catherine Manning of Brunswick and Mekayla Cheyenne Manning of Sylvania; two great-grandsons, Hunter and Michael; three sisters, Ruby (Jerry) Brooker of Odum, Wanda (Glenn) Gunter of Starke, Florida, and Becky (Valdine) Griffis of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Jesup City Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Brantley officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.

Shirley Chrysler Ormandy
Jesup—Shirley Chrysler Ormandy, 85, of Jesup died Oct.28, 2019.
The Florida native had lived in Wayne County most of her adult life. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher and a Children’s Church worker. She was a former supervisor of Cato Stores of Southeast Georgia and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James R. Ormandy of Jesup; sisters, Margaret Robinson and Emily (Jack) Groover, all Jesup; a brother, Charles (Tina) Chrysler of Jesup; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcox and the Rev. Jack Lee officiating. Interment will be in Altamaha Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be, Christopher Landing, Caleb Groover, Carroll Suggs, David Covey, Jonathan Poppell, and Russell Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Senior Adult Sunday School classes of Trinity Baptist Church, employees of Georgia Hospice Care, Bobby Kicklighter and Betty Davis.
Visitation will be held Thursday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
