Tammy Strickland
Screven—Tammy Strickland, 55, of Screven died Oct. 6, 2016, at her residence.
The Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, resident lived in Wayne County the past few months and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her father, George Cartrette, and a brother, Keith Carter.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Humphrey Frazier of Raleigh, North Carolina; her sons, David Strickland of Wilmington, North Carolina, Jimmy Bryson of Chicago, Illinois, Brandon Bryson of Beaufort, North Carolina, and Anthony Bryson of Newport, North Carolina; her mother, Sylvia Stone Cartrette of Screven; and a brother, the Rev. Eric Cartrette of Louisburg, North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Wilcox and the Rev. Eric Cartrette officiating.
Family will receive friends prior to the service at the church.

Roy Roberts
Savannah—Roy Roberts died Sept. 22, 2016, surrounded byfamily at his bedside.
He was born Aug. 3, 1958, to Willie and Eva Mae Roberts. He attended Saint James Holiness Church in Screven. He was baptized in 2015 at the Church of Christ in Savannah.
He received his formal education at Wayne County High School and Jenkins High School in Savannah. He was employed at the Chatham Nursing Home (now Riverview) for more than 30 years.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed bowling, basketball, swimming and taking care of his patients. He was a person who loved to give, according to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eva Mae Roberts, and four siblings, Janie Roberts Williams, Charles Roberts, Mildred Roberts Fields and Jackie Ray Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Golden Roberts; three sons, Roy Roberts, Brandon Jones and Jermaine Jenkins, all of Savannah; a daughter, Stephanie Jenkins of Atlanta; two stepchildren, Sierra Golden and Kenneth West Jr. of Savannah; 10 grandchildren, Timothy J. Frazier Jr. of Atlanta, Keo Charles, Jamyia Law, Jakyia Law, Brandon Jones Jr., Cyncere West, Davion Jones, Tayshaun Jones, Ashton Jones and Braylun Jones, all of Savannah; three step-grandchildren, JayDen Johnson, Jada West and Jenia Grubbs, all of Savannah; two brothers and their spouses, David and Ann Roberts of Jesup and Willie and Velma Roberts of Odum; five sisters, Dealva Sheilds, Bennie Mae Brock, Rose Roberts, Barbara Jean Roberts and Daisy Jones, all of Savannah; five sisters-in-law and their spouses, Cathy Roberts of Washington, D.C., Rose and David Dempsey, Willie Mae and Walter Flowers, Amelia and Willbun Dempsey and Birdie Moody, all of Savannah; one brother-in-law and his spouse, Apostle Norris and Mary Golden of Savannah; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Services were held Oct. 1 at Williams and Williams Funeral Home in Savannah.
Internment followed in Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah.
Williams and Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
