Arthur Rufus Brock

Jesup—Arthur Rufus Brock, 84, of Jesup died Aug. 17, 2018, after an extended illness.

The Habersham County native had lived in Wayne County most of his adult life and was a member of Altamaha Baptist Church.  The U.S. Air Force airman 2nd Class veteran was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his former wife, Lurita Phillips Brock, and brother, Paul Brock.

Survivors include three daughters, Colleen (Jimmy) Howell of Jesup, Brenda Ann (Edwin) Solomon of West Columbia, South Carolina, and Kimberly (Steven) Daniels of Screven; a son, Jeffery (Candice) Brock of Jesup; siblings, Max (Marci) Brock of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Charles Brock of LaGrange, Kenneth (Michelle) Brock of Warm Springs, Patricia Brock (William) Knight of LaGrange; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Aug. 21 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Jack Lee officiating along with the American Legion Post No. 311’s presentation of the U.S. flag.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Bertha Sapp Todd

Bristol—Bertha Sapp Todd, 89, of Bristol died Aug. 19, 2018, after an extended illness.

The Tattnall County native had lived in Bristol most of her life and was a member of Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. The homemaker enjoyed gardening, sewing and being a good neighbor.

She was the widow of Donnie Todd.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Blanton of Jesup; two sons, Robert Todd and Richie Todd, both of Bristol; two sisters, Laverne Harris of Jesup and Trudy Arbuckle of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Russell Sapp and Otis Sapp, both of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren, Tyler Todd and Lory Blanton; a great-granddaughter, Madison Blanton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Elder Jason Deal officiating. A private family burial will follow in Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

James Lee Sanderson

Jesup—James Lee Sanderson, 82, of Jesup died Aug. 17, 2018, in Harborview Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held privately by the family.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
