Raffensperger, Eaton win
Republicans Brad Raffensperger and Chuck Eaton have won their runoff races for Georgia secretary of state and District 3 Georgia public service commissioners, respectively.
Unofficial results Wednesday morning showed Raffensperger with 52 percent of the vote statewide, defeating Democrat John Barrow, and Eaton, the incumbent, with 51.8 percent of the vote, defeating Democrat Lindy Miller.
In Wayne County, Raffensperger and Eaton accumulated substantially higher percentages. Raffensperger received 79.4 percent of the local vote (1,590-422), and Eaton received 80.9 percent (1,619-382).
The local voter turnout was 22.7 percent (3,565 votes cast out of 15,675 registered voters).
