Hurricane Dorian shifts a bit to the west
As of the 8 a.m. briefing Wednesday with the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, Hurricane Dorian has nudged a bit west.
Wayne County has now been placed in a tropical storm warning out of precaution. The eastern part of Wayne County will have slightly stronger winds and a longer duration than the rest of the county.
Current forecasts projects 1- to 3-inches of rain and potential gusts of 39 to 58 m.p.h. with sustained winds below 39 m.p.h.
Conditions should begin around noon today (Wednesday) and continue until noon on Thursday.
