Sheriff’s Office arrests six on drug charges; four still at large after Thursday operation

Drug dealers and users in Wayne County are likely considering relocation after the second large drug bust in the past week.

Ten Wayne County residents were targeted in a Sheriff’s Office operation focusing on outstanding drug warrants Thursday.

Six individuals were arrested and four are still at large after the round-up operation by the sheriff’s narcotics unit, criminal investigation division and deputies and the Screven Police Department, Sheriff John Carter announced Friday.

•Jess Evans, 20, of Jesup was arrested and charged with the sale of methamphetamine, conspiracy, criminal attempt to sell methamphetamine and use of a telecommunications device during the commission of a felony.

•Damien Pendergrass, 45, of Jesup was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

•Brittany Edmunds, 30, of Jesup was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and a probation violation.

•Brian Overstreet, 46, of Odum was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

•Bobby Hopkins, 41, of Screven was arrested and charged with sale of crack cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

•Dodgie Truitt, 49, of Screven was arrested and charged with the sale of crack cocaine.

Still at large following the operation are the following:

•Emily Coleman, 27, of Jesup, who is wanted for possession of fentanyl.

•Lisa Harris, 32, of Jesup, who is wanted for possession of heroin, a Schedule II controlled substance, drug-related objects, and drugs not in original container.

•Tina Burchell, 56, of Jesup, who is wanted for possession of drug-related objects and a probation violation.

•Creighton Terringer, 38, of Jesup, who is wanted for possession of methamphetamine.
