Altamaha flood danger passes as water levels continue to decline

Although the walkway to the floating dock at Jaycee Landing was still submerged Tuesday, floodwaters on the Altamaha continue to recede this week. The water level at the Doctortown gauge is forecast to be below 14 feet by tomorrow, and sites up river have been back down into the minor-flooding zone for several days.
